unbound bodies

unbound bodies is a performative series established by dancer Charlie Petersen, which allows her to lead productions from the performers perspective.

Taking her unique performative qualities as a starting point, Charlie invites progressive choreographers for joint productions. Following her personal interests and deep understanding of movement art, she actively shapes her own artistic engagement as a dancer and thereby challenges existing hierarchies in the independent performing arts.

Her latest work DIORAMA is a collaboration with celebrated choreographer and designer Theo Clinkard and her long-term artistic partner Lena Schattenberg. In 2026 she will premiere the transnational production The Warmth of Other Suns in cooperation with Danish choreographer Sophia Mage.
